Paradox and Majesty

Did anyone here play Majesty? The original and it's expansion?
Remember how the heroes did things? Remember how whimsical and fun it was? Remember how the AI did things?
Then Majesty 2, where the AI was on an auto attack course to your base and your AI was on an auto patrol around your base and all the buildings were kind of bland? And then all the expansions that first had vids to mislead us into thinking Goblins were playable then werewolves before finally giving us that last expansion that actually did have another faction?
And then that tower defense game... Did anyone play it.
And now a Civilization 5 Mod.
Am I the only one who feels that a brilliant IP is going to waste and that all they would have to do is recapture the formula of the First One to make a LOT of gamers happy and willing to throw money at them again? Am I the only one who finds myself reluctant to give them any money after the way they've handled their IP's lately?
Just getting some feedback form other games for a youtube video.

They've definately go on the wrong track, playing this I was thinking of Master of Magic, however it doesn't have the depth of that game, your right about the Civ5 mod though feels like that, except with building limited to town size. That tower defence game isn't really that great either, played for a few hours and haven't touched it again. They really need to go back to Majesty and re-evaluate their plans.
