E3 2012: While GameSpot has issued its Best of E3 2012 Awards, the GameSpot staff sound off on their personal favorite games of this year's show.

Lucas films should team up with EA, dice, all of that, including the battlefeild 3 creators and make the altament star-wars first person shooting game.
3 Like I believe the best game at E3 is between Watch Dog's and Assassin's Creed 3. There's a huge spotlight on those two games right now on gaming forums. I'm leaning more towards Watch Dogs. GTA fans want to see a new style of gameplay as well as a more engaging story. Watch Dog's is my pick of E3.
man i can't believe that the really cool games like SLEEPING DOGS, TOMB RAIDER, were not there & some whackass games like PIKMAN 3, PERSONA 4, etc, were there in the list. games like those really sucks & are totally for boys not for men,
Persona 4 Arena is a fighting game and therefore does not cater to "boys." Fighting games are a life style similar to learning a musical instrument, and the average "boy" does have the discipline to stick with it due to the nature of our society which is rooted in instant gratification. We are not willing to learn anything that doesn't come easy to us by nature. As a result we work at nothing, and in the words of the Rolling Stones, we "can't get no satisfaction." This is why I like to playing not just fighting games, but I enjoy playing piano, guitar, skateboarding, basketball, and martial arts. Discipline is rewarding, and therefore satisfying.
I weep tears of glory dreaming of Planetside2, and The Last of us is almost enough to make me buy a ps3

2 Like My personal favourite is Tomb Raider, but there were a bunch of great games at E3 this year, and I can't wait for those like Watch Dogs, GTA V, SimCity, Rayman Legends, and much more.
My mistake, GTA V wasn't at E3. No matter, I can expect great quality, as is usual in the franchise.

1 Like assassins creed 3, unfinished swan, and Watch Dogs all deserve early game of the year awards.
Forgot: Last Light had a good showing, and so did DS3. The most surprising for me? ZombiU. It has probably one of the greatest trailers of all time, and is an amazing take on the now way overused zombie theme.
I respect everyone's personal choices right up until Guy Cocker (Who the hell gives someone that name?). This new Most Wanted, with it's idiotic "burnout cam" and the lack of customization in the demos which suggests that this is none, is a disgrace to the original. That being said, Watch Dogs is undeniably the top dog at E3. Second on the list also undoubtedly The Last Of Us. Right behind it (no order) are Far Cry 3, AC3, the Lego version of GTA, Rayman Legends, Beyond, Borderlands 2, and I guess i could throw in Pikmin 3 and Dishonored.
Ubisoft is the best game company ever!! So many games, too little money to buy all of them

I haven't heard about Star Wars 1313 until now. It'll be amazing even if it sucks, can't wait!
Tekken Tag Tournament 2, Dead or Alive 5, Sleeping Dogs, Watch Dogs and Borderlands 2 are my favorites.

@carlusofwar Yes, among other things. And also the fact that it's pretty much the only franchise that comes close to true survival horror this gen - with very few worthy exceptions here and there.(I was disctracted when I posted my previous message. What I meant was: "For me, it's just Metro Last Light and that is all.")
@carlusofwar I just do what I always do when there's nothing interesting to play on current-gen systems: go back to past-gen and play some Silent Hill or Resident Evil or Manhunt etc.
However, later this year the complete edition of Batman: Arkham City gets released in Europe so I'll probably play that.Word of advice regarding Metro 2033: on xbox 360 there's an add-on called Ranger Pack (well, it's also on PC but as a free update). I rarely recommend add-ons but this one comes highly recommended: ammo is very scarce, enemies are deadlier but so are your weapons and the HUD is completely removed.It's possible to get Metro 2033 new for less than 200 kronor, you know... Check your pm ;)

Ive not had chance to play the first game yet. little pricey for me. i have to wait until the games are really really on sale or if i am luck like this past spring when releases from this FALL/winter 11. i got games for 149 kronor when they cost 599 - 699 kronor this past october. yes. to many used copies and the price gets just RIGHT. i NEVER pay more then 200 kronor for a game. 149krons you can get 3 for the price of 2. :D :D :D and why NOT over 200, is because i have been let down so many times, it is not worth the orignal price. and the better the game is; the better STEAL it is when it is on "sale - sale" if you know what i mean! so what games, would you play if Metro 2033 had NOT on the e3 this year ?

with so MANY great games - how can "you guys" even prefer project p 100 and pikmin 3 = when they are the weakest games of E3 12. I feel sorry for those who rather play these two games over: farcry3, hitman, kratos, black ops2, AC3, last of us, SW 1313 etc to name a few of all those great games coming soon.

@johnthek1d You did not grasp the concept. i did NOT talk about peeps taste in games. what i meant was that "it concerns me when peeps choose those two games over all other great games at E3." You do NOT have to feel sorry for me. i like action, adventure and horror with great characters and storyline; so of course pikmin and p-100 is NOT for me. it is like playing those kind of games, it just doesnt make sense. UNLESS you only have Wii, or you are under the age of 10. You must be a SIMS person to play those kind of games. PLUS: i said: no offence - only expressing an opinion.so you needed NOT answer like you did in your second comment.the first answer; would have been fine!
@carlusofwar Actually, i feel sorry you would rather play some of those to Pikmin 3 or Project p 100, although watch dogs was very intriguing and would have to put it second to Pikmin 3.

That was rather rude of you! I don't have any consoles, yet I don't consider console gamers stupid or myself superior to them.
i liked most of the games, especially watchdogs just because its interesting, AC3 is obviously on my list as i love the series, pikmin 3, great game but on the Wii u and i don't know whether i will get one for some time, most wanted i cant help think that there's a huge risk of them ruining it as the original was incredibly cheesy but that's what made that game great, metal gear rising i'm interested in, i just got metal gear solid 4 so i hope to get this, the last of us also looks amazing but i don't exactly understand it fully yet, need to watch some more videos about it, forza horizon doesn't interest me as i don't have an Xbox although it does look awesome, star wars 1313 looks absolutely amazing but i think it might be released on PS4 depending on when its released, dishonoured looks good to but reminds me of skyrim, all the games at e3 looked good but for me the stand out game was watchdogs
