So much "I" and "we." Story-drive, average-gameplay games most definitely appeal to a sizable portion of gamers. That not something I'd expect Blizzard to understand since I consider the story of all their pre-WC3 games to be sub-par. It's the reason why I never got into Blizzard.

 Not at all. I have been unfortunate enough to have mainly friends who are into Blizzard games instead of Westwood games like I do. Most of them were gifts; I was pressured into buying a couple myself. I was rather resentful about that until we stopped playing together.
