- "Broken"
WWF Raw is a modest attempt to bring professional wrestling to the Xbox.
The gameplay in this game is simple and just seems to be broken. The momentum meeter simple doesn't seem to work in the game and you can easily fill it up and get a finishing move too quickly and when it is low on your side you can't really do much to help it move. When you watch wrestling they are able to counter one finishing move with another, that is impossible with this game. The biggest problem is found in the length of this game. This game can be easily finished within 6 hours of playing. Once you have completed the game there is not real reason to play it again. There is not really anything to do except to get the belts and put this game in the closet. The character list is also a problem in that it is not updated. The fighters from ECW/WCW are not in the game when they were in the WWF story line when the game was released. It is unexcusable. It is like your buying an old game because of this
Graphics do better but aren't all too great. Some characters look just like their real life counterparts while others just look completely different. There are some problems with clipping but that is usually a given when it comes to wrestling games.
Sound is good in the game but suffers from repetition. Once you have played for an hour or so you have basically heard everything the sound has to offer.
This game is simple broken and incomplete...it is merely a rent at most.
