If I had infinite time and money, I'd agree with you. Some of us have lives and budgets though, so it makes buying and playing every game we're even remotely interested in kind of difficult.
2. "You should always buy games on day one! Developers work hard on their games, so deserve your $60. Don't be a cheapskate and wait for a price drop."
Not all games are created equal. I can and have dropped $60 on games I felt would probably be worth it. Doing so would every game though would just decimate my wallet. It would also mean supporting some unfriendly consumer policies I don't agree with.

... Okay.
4. "Locked content is a good thing! It's the developer's content, so they can do what they want with it!"
Yeah, it is the developer's content, but how is locked day 1 DLC a good thing? Are you a viral marketer or something? I just don't understand this mentality and I never will.
5. "Digital distribution is the way of the future! I hate actually owning tangible property! I hate being able to resell my games! I hate being able to play my games on multiple systems, or loan them out to my friends!"
Well I like all of those things, so **** off.
