These guys keep talking about the "other" xcom game, they should be comparing to the original. I have total interest in this game, none whatsoever with the shooter.

I don't want to be the vilain here, but it helps to actually play a bit of the original if you're commenting a remake.

 

Firstly, as Peter_Eater said, the big headed, almond shapped eyes are called Sectoid which you would know if you played the original for a mere 30 minutes.

 

Secondly, since the TU's (Time Units) weren't discussed here and is probably the major gameplay change from the original, the only real addition i've heard here was the teleportation as an alien abilitiy. The rest of the features/action options Maxwell and Kevin talked were actually in the original UFO.

i wait this game, and actually i put out my old ufo games and install it on Dos box

its still a good game !!

If these professionals knew what they were talking about, they would know that these would be SECTOIDs in the XCOM universe.

Sheesh! Get someone on the Gamespot team that knows their games!

 @Peter_Eater I must say I don't expect it from Maxwell... he can't help not playing something that came out when he was a wee lad.  I am quite disappointed in Kevin though.
