im not completely sold on Yakuza 3 can anyone explain this game to me why should i buy it it reminds me of Shenmou

@Dmitheon - good post, totally agree, used to love Sega, was practically a fanboy at the time of the Dreamcast, but I don't think I've bought one of their products in years. Very disappointing, because their games used to be amazing and ground-breaking.

I just Want Sega to Fix Phantasy star Universe. Why o Why can't they just fix this MMO? this is a property that could be worth alot more then what it already is. The servers are just bad. 12 months behind the JP servers. PSP is getting all new weapons/etc. but paying customers are getting nothing at all! this is my biggest beef with them right now. As a long time fan This forced me to quit the game til they fix it. but it isn't a bad game just need a huge major update so it can be worth playing. when ATOI came out people came back to the game to play it. now almost no one plays. Sega just fix this MMO it need a overhaul.

I love all my Sega products(Dreamcast,Saturn,Genesis,32X, and Sega CD) and would gladly buy another Sega console. I'm not hurt by them giving up support for their consoles,their consoles werent selling so good, and it was simply a business decision. Sega had the games that appealed to me at that time, and thats why I bought their consoles, and I think that's the same reason why I like the 360,mainly due to the type of games I prefer. It's called console preferences and not fanboyism.

Sega's developers went from imaginative to irrelevant. They created some really unique experiences like NiGHTS, Panzer Dragoon, Streets of Rage, Shinobi, Shining Force, Phantasy Star(original RPGs > Online), Shenmue among many others. Now they just publish other developers' games, license movie tie-ins and mine Sonic into oblivion. Safe investments, but never ground-breaking. They're a shadow of their former selves and I don't think a comeback is likely.

These guys are so uninformed, for hecks sake, these guys were mainly ARCADE even during the MD years when their console was the most successful.

Bring Shenmue 3 already !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

And once again no talk of Shenmue 3. I still don't understand how Sega doesn't realise that they will sell millions of copies of Shenmue 3. Although a member of Sega staff told me recently that they are making a Shenmue DS game. As for Sega entering the console market, of course they won't. As the Wii PS3 and XB360 is already so far ahead on units, unless Sega were able to really pull something amazing out of the bag, they have no chance. They are making all the money they need from making games.

Thank you all readers for letting me know Sega is against re-entering the console market before I wasted the time it would have required to find that information out from the video myself. I cant believe Gamespot nearly tricked me into watching this video myself with such a tantalizing suggestion. Its just more of Gamespot's misleading antics, trying to fool people into watching their stupid videos.

Ringedge is a stupid name for a console. I mean X box, play station, wii...........wait forget it.

Bad-Chad. They shall unveil a streaming device based on RingWide hardware which uses a simluar graphics engine to 360 very soon(It uses the Radeon 2600 PRO HD chip) and hopes to begin test marketing it later this spring. Like I said they do hope that the economic conditions and cosumer confidence goes ripe enough this year for them to finally make plans to launch the Ringedge console hopefully late this year or in 2011. It's time for a SEGA comeback in 2010! Alien VS Predator,Bayonetta...The Ringedge and Ringwide touch screen boards, Ringwide streaming device, Project Needlemouse....and possibly the RingEdge HD console!!!!

If Sega brought out another console, I'd be all over that like hot sauce on a ding-dong. For reals.

it is great to see sega bring quality new tiles like bayonetta but i wish they would get saturn and dreamcast classics like panzar dragoon saga, jet set radio and gardian heroes etc on xbox live as well as bring the quality new titles.

SEGASammy does have a console based on Ringedge hardware on the backburner, but first they want to launch and test market a streaming device based on RingWide hardware which shall be annouced and unveiled soon which is what he's talking about in network online,downloading. The economic conditions and the atmosphere are not yet ripe for them to market the HD console yet Thus the On-Live like device will come first. http://www.patentgenius.com/patent/7618320.html I respect Naoya Tsurumi and the vision that he has in the hopes that SEGASammy's upcomming multi-platformer titles for Q1 2010. Though I have to say that when he anwsered that final question, he seemed hesitant as if he was trying to dodge that question. Normally most SEGA reps always anwser with "SEGA's focus is IPs,We are a software company", There was a delay in him anwsering as if he were trying to think of anwsering without revealing anything or completely ruiling out a future console. Also SEGA did not reveal anything beyond the first quarter of 2010 and is now talking more about thier own 1st party software projects than 3rd party Here's hoping for success for Sega's upcomming titles and for the Ringedge and Ringwide boards to grow supstancially.
